Anahí Garnica was the first woman firefighter. She loved her job. She had leadership and she was well known by all her partners. On February 5th 2014, she was trying to put out fire in a reservoir in Barracas when she died. A wall located beside her crumbled. Garnica and other nine firefighters lost their lifes to save the other ones. That’s why I nominate her for the local hero award.
